Sr. Fetlework Metku Kasa Honored at IWP Dubai 2025 for Transformative Leadership in Youth and Women Empowerment

Dubai, UAE | June 30, 2025 — Sr. Fetlework Metku Kasa, a visionary leader and trailblazer from Ethiopia, was honored with the Iconic Women Award 2025 at the 2nd International Women Parliament (IWP) Conclave, held at Seven Seas Hotel, Dubai, in celebration of the International Day of Parliamentarism.


Recognized in the category of Youth and Women Empowerment, Peace, and Development, Sr. Fetlework was celebrated for her two decades of transformative leadership and her lifelong commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities across Ethiopia.
She is the Founder and Executive Directress of Egna Le Egna Youth Health and Development Organization, a pioneering grassroots movement that evolved from a small anti-AIDS youth club into one of Ethiopia’s leading national forces for holistic empowerment.
